The race crew of the SUPROTEC company called Suprotec Racing, which is the current rally-raid champion of Russia, proved to be the best in the team event of the Silk Way marathon 2018 during the national championship stage.
This year, the summer Russian Rally Raid Championship was held as part of the international Silk Way marathon from Astrakhan to Moscow. Our famous blonds, Mariia Oparina and Taisiia Shtaneva became the best in their class, both in the marathon and the championship, on a naturally aspirated buggy – Maverick.
They came fifth in the final official classification of the Silk Way. Another participant of the Silk Way, which is often called Russian Dakar, the crew team of Andrey Rudskoy and Evgenii Zagorodniuk came ninth in the final official classification of the Silk Way, on a BARS prototype.
And finally, the Niva Suprotec Racing headed by Dmitry Voronov and Aleksander Andreev took second place both in its class and in the final official classification of the Russian Championship. And, following the results of the three stages of the Russian Championship, they are qualifying for the top of the podium.
