How long does the ATOMIUM ™ layer work ?

The ATOMIUM ™ layer is formed during first 500-1000 km of run and it doesn't change till the end of processing (20 000 -30 000 km of run).

If you don’t support the layer, then depending on modes of the engine operation, abrasivity of air, quality of engine oil and fuel, the layer completely wears out after 30-80 thousand km of run. Till this moment only ATOMIUM effects are lost and afterwards wear process of the main material begins.

Why is the 1st stage of treatment carried out 1000 km before the oil change and why is it necessary to process the ICE in several stages?

The vast majority of ICE have deposits and varnishes in a combustion chamber and in friction zones of cylinder-piston group. The 1st stage of treatment generally carries out function of the surface preparation for the layer formation.

This is a process of tiny removal of the distorted layer of metal in the most loaded friction zones and cleaning of deposits and varnishes. At rather large amount of "dirt" the process of layer formation might not become complete because of abrasive influence of solid carbon parts. Therefore it is necessary to remove them from the engine and to continue treatment process on the "pure" engine.

Are ATOMIUM ™ lubricants applied on diesel engines?

For correct applying of ATOMIUM ™ technology the following things are essential:

  1. materials of friction surfaces and conditions of contact of these surfaces;
  2. type of fuel – gasoline / diesel / LPG/ - in order to choose between ATOMIUM Active Gasoline™ / ATOMIUM Active Diesel™;
  3. node of friction – AGSB, MGSB, HPS or HPFP;
  4. mileage.

It doesn’t matter what carrier (grease oil) is used.

What kinds of engine oil are compatible to ATOMIUM?

For correct applying of ATOMIUM technology the type of materials of friction surfaces and condition of contact of these surfaces are important. It doesn’t matter what carrier (type of grease oil) is used. ATOMIUM lubricants are chemically neutral, as they represent a complex of minerals without any chemical additives.

What preparatory stages should be organized, so that ATOMIUM would work more effectively?

NO preparatory stages are required. All stages of processing applied in a mode of regular operation of the car. The main thing is that before processing there have been no mechanical damages and catastrophic wear of friction details.

Can I chisel engine treated with ATOMIUM?

ATOMIUM layer has a higher relative hardness of the substrate, in comparison with the basic oil, but not more than on 30%. Therefore, the surface constructed by ATOMIUM ™ can perfectly be processed by the cutting and grinding tools.

If the car has a big mileage (more than 10 years), isn’t it too late to process it with ATOMIUM?

Terms of car exploitation are not essential. It is the technical condition that is important. If there are no mechanical breakages and the wear of friction parts is not catastrophic (engine power dropped in 1,5 and more times and the fuel equipment is in satisfactory condition), it is not late, the effect will be obvious. If you see positive improvement of technical condition after processing you can only increase the number of stages.

Does it make any sense to process a new car or an engine after overhaul?

There IS a use to process a new car. So you prolong the engines life-cycle and manage to maintain an optimal technological level and to reduce fuel consumption. However, we recommend the first treatment after zero Technical Inspection.

The new engine to be processed in 2 stages. The 1st stage – in working oil non depending on mileage. After oil replacement begin the 2nd stage.

Is it possible to drive without engine oil if the crankcase is punched or the oil pump doesn't work?

Yes, it is possible. But this is an emergency mode. If you hadn’t applied ATOMIUM ™ then without oil the engine will run 10-30 km. After that even under small loads burrs and smelting of liners of bearings will occur.

If you had applied ATOMIUM in advance at this emergency mode you will be able to drive 100-120 km (without overloading the engine (1000-1200 turns). The remained oil fog will suffice the run. We know cases of running 500 km without oil. In this case after repair the ATOMIUM layer should be restored totally.

What the difference between "ATOMIUM" and "SUPROTEC" products?

Here is no difference between that brands. "ATOMIUM" brand was created for sales in European Union countries, "SUPROTEC" - this is also our brand, but it was designed for Russian market. In other words, "ATOMIUM" and "SUPROTEC" are the same. More about SUPROTEC you can find here: www.suprotec.ru

What knots are better for processing at the same time?

The best option is to process all knots of the car (engine, transmissions, power steering) that’s how the greatest effect will be reached. But as a rule, car owners treat the engine and the switch box, losing a part of the effect because the power steering, bridges, and bearings stay unprocessed.

Due to what reasons does the fuel consumption decrease?

On new engines reduction in fuel consumption is only due to drop of friction losses. ATOMIUM layer works by holding a thick layer of oil that turns to the hydrodynamic regime of friction. In engines processed with ATOMIUM compression restores, which leads to the restoration of the optimal conditions of combustion. As a result, fuel consumption is reduced to the nominal and lower.

Due to what reasons does the oil consumption on waste decrease?

In process of wearing in details surfaces such as sleeves, oil-control rings and piston flutes oil consumption on waste increases and exceeds admissible value. Moreover oil consumption on waste can increase due to the defect of oil caps and leakproofness of outlet valves. ATOMIUM allows to reduce oil consumption on waste only in the first case as a result of restoration of the knot firmness (sleeve + ring-piston flute).

When the piston (bucket) moves down used oil remains in the piston flute under a ring prepares, this oil drops from the sleeve surface. When the piston (bucket) moves up this used oil is squeezed out to the top of the piston and then step by step burns down. ATOMIUM layer in friction zones of this knot partially reduces spacings, and also becomes thicker adding oil. This is how we reach the effect of decrease of oil consumption on waste.

Due to what does the compression in the cylinders recover / increase?

Compression recovers (increases) due to restoring of the gas density node sleeve - piston ring and piston groove. Formed in the friction zones of the node layer partially lowers gaps, and partly compacted with the thick oil layer, which is held on the layer. This allows to reduce the breakthrough of the air-fuel mixture and exhaust gases into the crankcase.

Doe to what does the engine power increase?

The engine power increases due to the recovery of optimal fuel combustion and due to decrease of friction losses. In other words the effectiveness of the injected fuel unit grows, and the loss in friction detail on overheat is reduced.

If the car is in a good condition, regularly gains quality service, uses only good synthetic oil, has no complaints about the work. Does it make sense to use ATOMIUM at all?

Modern trends of engine manufacturing for vehicles do not involve too long life cycle, since it is not economically feasible. They stopped providing millionaires – engines with million km ability. Today, high-quality engine with the appropriate service runs without any problems 300 - 350 thousand km. But our problems begin even earlier after 150 - 200 thousand km due to lack of quality of fuel and oil. Therefore, if there is a need to increase the engine life in 2 times, reduce fuel consumption by 5 - 8% or to sell the car for more expensive, it makes sense to use the ATOMIUM.

Can I use ATOMIUM products for the treatment of variable speed transmissions?

Yes, you can.

How do ATOMIUM products react on engine oil additives?

ATOMIUM is chemically neutral to any package of standard engine oil additives as it is the complex of minerals without chemical supplements, surfactants, etc.

Would ATOMIUM treatment do any harm to honing of cylinders?

No, it wouldn’t. Cylinder honing is coating of scratches on the cylinder liner, in order to retain oil on its walls. The surface constructed with ATOMIUM greatly exceeds the honing surface for oil-retaining ability, as it is an ultra micro-porous solid surface.

If I'm already using other additives or lubricating compounds can I still handle the engine treatment with ATOMIUM products?

If you do not get any effect from treatment with these preparations, you can safely use ATOMIUM products but it's better to do it after the oil change.
